Apple Ridge Woodturners was formed November, 2002. We started with appproximately 16 turners in and around Ellijay, Gerogia.  We are no longer just North Georgia turners, but have members as far south as Marietta, Ga to

Murphy, NC in the north and from Dalton, Ga to the west and Cumming, Ga to the east.

Our goals are to:
Promote the art of woodturning.
Develop an appreciation for fine turned wood art vessels.
Provide instruction with demos by noted turners.

Apple Ridge is an informal club that encourages interactions by the sharing of ideas and methods.  Our social time allows us to get to know one another.  Each meeting offers and instant galley. Members and visitors are encouraged to bring their work (both successful and unsuccessful) for the instant gallery.  We all are able to learn from unsuccessful attempts as well as the successful ones.

Our meetings begin at 6:30 PM the LAST Thursday of each month and run until 8:30 - 9:00. Members start gathering at 5:30 PM for a time of socializing and fellowship. Refreshments are available from the Legion Post kitchen.
